2010 Kia Sorento Sports Fresh Styling, Rumored for New York

Site KiaWorld apparently nabbed the first photos of the 2010 Kia Sorento, rumored for a U.S. debut in April's New York Auto Show (on the heels of an international debut at the Seoul Motor Show). The new Sorento hews closely to the overall layout of the current-gen vehicle, but all the styling details are significantly refined making for a much more appealing vehicle.

The front end, especially, sports a refreshingly aggressive attitude for the typically bland automaker. This iteration of Kia's new corporate face, to us, looks a bit similar to Subaru's award-winning 2009 Forester and has especially appealing headlights and a clamshell hood.

7-passenger seating is rumored for the new SUV. Engines for the U.S. should be Hyundai's 2.4-liter four (170 hp) that sees duty in the Sonata as well as an optional 3.8-liter Lambda V-6 (260 hp) that powers the base version of the Genesis sedan to 60 mph within tenths of its Tau V-8-engined brother.
