Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid revealed at NAIAS 2009

Fisker_Karma_Hybrid.jpgThe 2010 Fisker Karma will be assembled by a Finnish car-maker Valmet with first bunch of vehicles delivered to happy customers in November, 2009. The start-up's management hopes to annually sell as many as 15,000 cars with about half of them staying in Europe.the production-ready 2010 Fisker Karma has a pair of electric motors with a total power output of 408hp and an available torque of mind-numbing 959lb-ft (1300 Nm). Together with its auxiliary 2.0-liter Ecotec direct-injection turbo engine, these will take only 5.8 seconds to accelerate the car from zero to 60 mph and will provide it with a top speed of 125 mph. Its pack of lithium-ion batteries is good for about 50 miles if you don't press the 'gas' pedal too hard but the extra juice is also supplied by the internal combustion engine.
